Hampton by Hilton Bogota – For $40 a Night it’s the Best Deal in Bogota
charming Usaquen Plaza, the Mercado de Las Pulgas and numerous fashionable bars and restaurants. Also located nearby is another excellent lodging option – the W Bogota hotel. The W Bogota is in a completely different class but also offers an excellent value for a luxury urban hotel with rates starting at less than $100 a night. The Hampton by Hilton Bogota’s rooms are relatively small but modern with laminated “hardwood” floor, large flat screen TVs, very nice tiled showers and comfortable beds. It’s not the Ritz – but very nice for the money. In addition, included with your room is an excellent complimentary breakfast featuring eggs, sausage, fried plantains, an assortment of fruits, breads and cheeses, juices, coffee and much more. I recommend asking for rooms ending in 01 to 07 for a great view of the Andes mountains (ask for the fourth floor and higher for the best views).
A Couple of Great Bogota Breakfast Options
If you’re up for a great snack (or a great breakfast) check out Miriam Camhi, Av. 116 # 7-15 Local 04, next to the W Bogota (and a very short walk from the Hampton by Hilton Bogota). The pastries are excellent, the breakfasts delicious and the mandarina juice is out of this world. I also love Pandebono for a great little snack. It’s a Columbian chain but the outpost in the Santa Barbara mall serves especially delicious breads and pastries.
The TYRP Bogota Usaquen — Another Nice Bogota Budget hotel
The TYRP Bogota Usaquen is also a great Bogota hotel value at under $50 a night. The rooms are nice (on par with the Hampton by Hilton Bogota) and the complimentary breakfast (although not as tasty as the one at the Hampton Inn) is served in a beautiful rooftop terrace with excellent views of Bogota.
