This beautiful, all-suite resort hotel is in the heart of all the Cancun action. A short walk from the Forum by the Sea mall, Senor Frogs, Carlos & Charlies, The CoCo Bongo Club and many other Cancun clubs. The Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach has a huge pool (we’re talking big baby), gorgeous ocean view suites and a 40,000 square foot spa. The fantastic breakfast buffet (about $27) is not to be missed–I absolutely pigged out on the awesome fried plantains this morning. The beach is nice and protected by a small reef. The Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach has everything else you would expect from a 5 star resort. The rooms are priced accordingly. The Expedia price for a junior suite from April 20-22, 2015, was $369 a night plus tax and fees. Yikes!!! The savvier traveler can get the same room for less than $150 a night including taxes and fees. That’s about 59% off the Expedia price. No timeshare BS…no strings…just using my Traveldealalert.com savvy and getting a little help from Skyauction.com. Skyauction starts the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach auctions at $69 a night (plus taxes and fees of $49 a night). The auction I won ended at $89 a night. Add $49 a night for taxes and a one time Skyauction $20 fee, and you come up with a grand total of $148 a night for my two night stay. I really wouldn’t pay more than $100 or $110 in the auction. If someone goes nuts and pays up in your auction–just wait for the next one.
